Our Story

Vaibhavi and Akshay

Vaibhavi and Akshay.

A stylist who learned restraint through excess.
A photographer who knows when to stop looking.

Aimée is their curated edit.

The beginning

Aimée began without a plan.

During the pandemic, everything slowed down. With travel paused and time suddenly open, we began paying attention to what was already around us — pieces people had left behind.

We photographed a few of them simply and shared the images online. The first piece found its next home.

Then another.
And another.

That was the first moment Aimée became real.

Learning

In the months that followed, we spent time learning — handling pieces, understanding wear, recognising quality through repetition.

We worked with what we could find, paying attention to materials, construction, and age.

That period shaped our eye and our restraint. It taught us what to choose — and what to leave behind.

Stepping into pre-loved luxury

Before stepping into pre-loved luxury, there was one thing we had to solve for first: authenticity.

We didn’t move quickly. For over three years, we searched for partners who approached pre-loved fashion with the same care we were learning to value.

That search led us to a small network of long-standing, registered pre-loved businesses chosen for their documentation, archival depth, and respect for craft.

Only then did Aimée step fully into pre-loved luxury.

We believe beautiful things deserve more than one life.

Our years spent around fashion — on sets, near wardrobes, and inside archives — taught us that creating less can often mean caring more.

Instead of adding to what already exists, we chose to focus on understanding it, preserving it, and making it feel considered again.

Aimée is a circular way of dressing.
Considered, authentic, and built to last — again.
