Vaibhavi

Co-founder & Stylist

Vaibhavi spent years working with clothes and styling people, building wardrobes, understanding how garments move through lives. That proximity taught her restraint: what to choose, how to read quality, and what it means for something to truly belong to someone. She brings that same eye to every piece at Aimée.

Akshay

Co-founder & Fashion Photographer

With 14+ years shooting fashion, Akshay has developed an instinct for knowing when something is exactly right and when it isn't. His eye for construction, age, and detail shapes how Aimée reads a piece before it ever comes in. He defines our standards as much as our images.

How we started

Aimée began during the pandemic, without a plan. With travel paused and time suddenly open, we started paying attention to what was already around us - pieces people had left behind. We photographed a few of them simply, and shared the images online. The first piece found its next home. Then another. Then another. That was the moment something shifted.

What seven years of learning looks like

We didn't move quickly into pre-loved luxury. Before we did, we spent years handling pieces and learning to read materials, construction, and age through repetition. A background in styling and a decade in fashion photography gave us a shared vocabulary for quality. That education shaped our eye and our restraint. It showed us what to choose, and what to leave behind.

How we authenticate

Authenticity was the first problem we had to solve. We spent over seven years building a small, careful network of long-standing, registered pre-loved businesses chosen for their documentation practices, archival depth, and respect for craft. Every piece at Aimée passes through this network before it reaches you. We do not move quickly, and we do not make exceptions.

Buying something pre-loved should feel like a decision; considered, informed, and made with full confidence in what you're holding.
